Thank you, Minister. And the second question is from Lynne Neagle.
Wrth inni edrych ymlaen at groesawu Eisteddfod y Garreg Las i Lantwd, sir Benfro, hoffwn estyn croeso cynnes iawn i'r ŵyl arbennig yma. Ymhen pythefnos, byddwn unwaith eto yn dathlu a chlodfori ein diwylliant, ein hanes a'n cymunedau lleol, a fydd yn cael eu harddangos ar lwyfan cenedlaethol i Gymru gyfan.
Hoffwn fynegi fy ngwerthfawrogiad diffuant i'r holl bobl, cymunedau, sefydliadau a busnesau lleol sydd wedi dod at ei gilydd i gefnogi'r Eisteddfod hon. Mae eu hymrwymiad a'u gwaith caled wedi bod yn allweddol i lwyddiant y paratoadau. Gosodwyd targed o £400,000, ac fe wnaeth cymunedau sir Benfro, de Ceredigion a gorllewin sir Gâr chwalu'r targed, gan godi dros £500,000—mwy o arian nag unrhyw Eisteddfod Gen erioed, tystiolaeth glir o gryfder ein cymunedau a'n cefnogaeth i'r Gymraeg a'n diwylliant.
Mae hefyd wedi bod yn bleser gweld y dathliadau sydd wedi tynnu sylw at arwyddocâd hanesyddol yr Eisteddfod hon, yn enwedig wrth inni gofio am yr Arglwydd Rhys, a gynhaliodd yr Eisteddfod gyntaf yng nghastell Aberteifi 850 o flynyddoedd yn ôl. Mae'n fraint gallu croesawu'r Eisteddfod nôl adre i Geredigion Penfro, a dwi'n edrych ymlaen at groesawu holl Aelodau'r Senedd i'r maes yn wythnos gyntaf Awst. Diolch.
As we look forward to welcoming Eisteddfod y Garreg las to Llantood in Pembrokeshire, I'd like to extend a very warm welcome to this special festival. In two weeks' time, we will once again celebrate and take pride in our culture, our history and our local communities, which will be displayed on a national stage for the whole of Wales.
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all the people, communities, organisations and local businesses that have come together to support this Eisteddfod. Their commitment and hard work has been a vital part of the success of the preparations. A target of £400,000 was set, and the communities of Pembrokeshire, south Ceredigion and west Carmarthenshire smashed that target, raising over £500,000—more money than any National Eisteddfod has ever raised, clear evidence of the strength of our communities and their support for the Welsh language and our culture.
It has also been a pleasure to see the celebrations that have highlighted the historical significance of this Eisteddfod, especially as we remember Lord Rhys, who held the first Eisteddfod in Cardigan castle 850 years ago. It is a privilege to be able to welcome the Eisteddfod back home to Ceredigion Penfro, and I'm looking forward to welcoming all Members of the Senedd to the maes during the first week of August. Thank you.
